Tasmania State Emergency Service (SES) crews remain prepared while weather conditions begin to ease across the state.
Since Sunday night, SES crews have responded to 20 requests for assistance in the south of the state, including four flooding incidents and 16 storm incidents.
“A flood advice warning remains in place for Royal George, Avoca and surrounds (monitor conditions),” said Acting SES Assistant Director Operations and Resources, Cheryl Ames.
“Rainfall is still expected across much of the state today and overnight into Wednesday.”
“Tasmania SES will continue to monitor rivers and the weather situation and have SES crews resourced and prepared to provide assistance when needed.
“The Bureau of Meteorology has removed the severe weather warning for damaging winds, but Tasmanians should continue to stay informed about changing conditions.”
