SES Long Service Medal

An SES Long Service Medal may be granted to a member who has completed a total of 10 years of diligent service.  Lapel pins may be granted at five years of diligent service, then for each subsequent five years of diligent service.

National Medal

Awarded to SES members for 15 years diligent service.  Clasps may also be presented to SES members (awarded for each additional 10 years of service).

Emergency Service Medal

Awarded for distinguished service by the members of Australia’s emergency service organisations across the nation. Tasmania may award up to three Emergency Services Medal (ESM’s) per year within the following three categories to people who have given distinguished service.

full-time permanent members of the SES;

part-time members, volunteers or auxiliary members of the SES; and

full-time permanent member, part-time member, volunteer or auxiliary member
